The Medialogia Agency published a rating of Russian regions, ranking them based on implementation of Vladimir Putin’s “May Decrees” in respect to economics. The Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District ranked 1st.
Investment projects (Yamal LNG, Northern Latitudinal Railway, Surgut – Salekhard Road construction, Novy Urengoy gas chemical facility construction, and hydrocarbon fields development) will continue getting support for the next 3 years, the company representative pointed out.
Moreover, the District budget deficit dropped by 25% (from 16 billion rubles in 2016 down to 12 billion rubles in 2017).
The income amounts to 377 billion rubles, including 122 billion rubles for 2017. The District budget expenses amount to 395 billion rubles, including next year ones (134 billion rubles). This is 6% more than in 2016.
Yamal also ranked 3rd in respect to implementation of the President’s Decrees in social sphere. 95 welfare programs for 55 groups of citizens were launched in the District. More than 300 000 Yamalies (every other District resident) will be able to benefit from them in 2017. The budget reserved 22 billion rubles for that.
