Aleksandr Mazharov, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Deputy Governor, announced the District’s plans for international cooperation held in 2017.
He participated in a meeting of the Presidential Council for Development of International Cooperation in Humanitarian Aid Provision held in the Ural Federal District.
Mr Mazharov pointed out that he will continue working on social and economic development of the Arctic. For example, an International Forum of indigenous minorities of the North, Siberia and Russian Far East is to be held in the Town of Salekhard in the spring of 2017.
Moreover, Yamal will again pay attention to its tourist and cultural potential abroad next year. Days of Yamal in Dusseldorf will be held in Germany in October 2017. Veterans, cadets, and school children will again to CIS states, too.
The Deputy Governor also announced the Arctic Archeology Scientific Conference that will be held in Salekhard in October.
The Arctic Ecologic Research Scientific Conference and Polar Land Environmental Forum are to be held in the District in the framework of the Year of Ecology in the Russian Federation.
